global community of Advisors to uncover new prior art. And when our global search does NOT uncover new patent validity evidence, patent claims for truly original innovations are intrinsically strengthened. Better access to prior art means a stronger patent system.
The more we succeed, the more our community succeeds
The prior art collections we gather with the help of our Advisors have significant financial value -- and we compensate our Advisors accordingly for their efforts. AOP analyzes the submitted prior art for each “Patent Study.” And if we form the opinion that a patent is invalid, the submitting Advisor can win up to $50,000. But our Advisors don’t have to win to earn money with AOP: about 5% of our net annual profit
(pursuant to the Compensation Agreement) are shared among our active Advisors as part of our Profit Sharing program, with the largest portions disbursed to those who actively submit prior art and participate in the community.
We create a consistent revenue stream by offering our prior art collections to interested parties and by using our analysis of the material as a basis for informed investments.
