What is an Advisor

When you register with ARTICLE ONE PARTNERS, you automatically become an AOP Advisor. This means that you can take on Patent Studies, work toward our $50,000 rewards, participate in our forums, enjoy robust networking, and more.

You can also rack up Advisor Points, redeemable for a share of our profits for the most active Advisors at the end of the year - you'll earn points for contributing Prior Art and for being active within the AOP community.

While AOP is open to nearly everyone, there are a few things that can disqualify you from becoming an Advisor.

You cannot join AOP if...
  • you are a patent officer currently or recently employed by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
  • you intend to use your membership on the behalf of anyone else, such as an industry "insider" with privileged information

You might be ineligible for certain Patent Studies if for example...
  • you have a confidentiality agreement with your employer that conflicts with the Patent Study
  • you are employed by a company involved in the Patent Study
  • refer to the Check Eligibility within each Patent Study to assist you to review your eligibility
